11th March, 2008. Representatives of the Stop AIDS Campaign delivered over 25,000 signature petition to 10 Downing St in a culmination of 6 months campaigning to influence the Government’s forthcoming AIDS Strategy. The petitioners presented the work of campaigners from all across the country, as well as a letter signed by the heads of 27 leading UK charities. They all called for the UK to invest at least £2.5bn over 3 years  in HIV and AIDS programmes, as well as promote affordable medicines and tackle the health worker shortage. Leading charities call for £2.5bn to fight AIDS.
